Tāṇḍava Nritya, is a divine dance performed by the Hindu gods. Shiva’s Tandava is described as a vigorous dance that is the source of the cycle of creation, preservation and dissolution. While the Rudra Tandava depicts his violent nature, first as the creator and later as the destroyer of the universe, even of death itself, the Ananda Tandava is the dance of bliss where the intrinsic nature of Shiva emerges as Shivam where he is in his purest form.

Ganesha is celebrated in Ganesh Chaturthi by creating his clay sculpture with one’s bare hands. This symbolizes his creation as well, as he was created from clay/earth by his mother Parvati.
